This will not complete the exercise. New names are coming up all the time, and more will be added from companies which appear on candidates' application forms. The Advisory Group will continue to meet to discuss these, and I will submit further names to you in due course. It is my expectation however that the enclosed list will cover the bulk of the British undertakings in Hong Kong.
5. I also enclose a list of members of the Advisory Group. These names have not so far been published. There is no objection in principle to the names being published but we have taken the view, with which the FCO has agreed, that we might only publish them if pressed. We have not been pressed, and have so far confined ourselves to saying that tho of prominent locally based British businessmen.
