BRITISH UNDERTAKINGS

1.

With regard to the list enclosed with Miss Gray's letter to you of 18 January:

(a) The following would appear to qualify under Article

(b)

16(2)(b):-

British Trade Commission

Crown Suppliers

Property Services International.

The following would appear to qualify under Article

16(2)(c):-

British Tourist Agency.

(c)

(d)

It is not clear whether the Scottish Development Agency and the Welsh Development Agency, or their international arms, are incorporated in the UK. If they were, they would fall under criterion A. If not, we would need to consider a separate category.

If the Industrial Development Board of Northern Ireland is incorporated in Northern Ireland it would fall under criterion A. If not, we would need to consider a separate category.

(e) The Northern Development Company would presumably fall

under criterion B.

(£)

(g)

The Yorkshire and Humberside Development Association would presumably fall under criterion A since the local authority is, I assume, incorporated under section 2 (3) of the Local Government Act 1972.

Was the OUP not separately incorporated? If not but it is a direct part of the University of Oxford, is not the University of Oxford incorporated by royal charter? If so, it would fall under criterion A.
