ANNEX B
Members of the Steering Committee, set up to advise the Governor on the implementation of the British Nationality Selection Scheme, held their first meeting today (Friday).
They had a preliminary discussion on the Committee's programme of work. During the meeting, they were also briefed on the scheme's legislative framework, and reviewed the application and selection system.
Today's meeting was chaired by the Chief Secretary, Sir David Ford. Members attending included Baroness Dunn; Sir Q. W. Lee; Mr. Peter Wong Hong-yuen; Mr. Andrew So; Professor Charles Kao; Senior British Trade Commissioner, Mr. Peter Heap; Commissioner ICAC, Mr. D. G. Jeaffreson; Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr. Barrie Wiggham; and Acting Secretary for Security, Mr. Ian Strachan.
