In exercise of the power conferred upon me by section 1(3) of the British Nationality (Hong Kong) Act 1990, I hereby direct that, in the period beginning on 1st December 1990 and ending on
1st January 1994, the Governor of Hong Kong, in making recommendations for the purpose of section 1(1) of that Act in
respect of the classes of applicant specified in Article 4 of the scheme submitted by the Governor of Hong Kong on 12th October 1990 and made and approved in accordance with Schedule 1 to the
Act, shall not
(a) in relation to the recommendations to be made in
respect of applicants in the general occupational class, make more than 32,700 (ie 90.332%) of those
recommendations;
(b)
in relation to the recommendations to be made in respect of applicants in the disciplined services
class, make more than 6,200 (ie 88.58%) of those
recommendations;
(c)
in relation to the
recommendations to be made in
respect of applicants in the sensitive service class, make more than 3,850 (ie 61.12%) of those
recommendations,
and, in relation to the recommendations referred to in paragraph (a) above, I hereby direct that the Governor of Hong Kong shall
