The points scored by all applicants range from 130 to 674. The quota mark is 446.
The ages of applicants range from 20 to 54, whereas those of potentially successful applicants range from 28 to 51, with 73% falling within the standard prime age band of 30 to 41. Please see Annex B;
Through the moderation of age points under Special Circumstances, the prime age band for the Customs and Excise Service has been effectively extended from 30-41 to 30-44. 87% of the potentially successful applicants are within this age band.
Applicants aged between 36 and 44 tend to have the highest success rate (more than 90%) among all age groups.
Qualification scores of potentially successful applicants range from 15 to 140. Annex C shows that the potentially successful applicants are generally more well qualified than those who are potentially unsuccessful.
