Dear Richard,
Many thanks for your letter of 18 July describing your company's experience of staff retention difficulties in Hong Kong.
I hope nevertheless that the nationality package will have helped, although I appreciate it is not a panacea and that staff will continue to leave for the reasons outlined in your letter.
I myself will be leaving Hong Kong Department at the end of next week to take up a posting in the Joint Liaison Group in Hong Kong. A modest personal contribution to the reversal of the brain drain!
