suggestions
that
the
scheme
might
catch
applicants of lower quality as a result of less competition involved, the spokesman said a preliminary analysis of the profile of applicants showed that this was not the case.
"The
main
reason
for
this
is
that the scheme is
totally transparent, SO that all potential applicants are able to assess their own scores fairly accurately.
"Only those who feel that they are well qualified and would stand a good chance of success have applied," he
said.
