I can confirm that, at the end of the programme, the system hardware will be handed over to the Hong Kong Government.
As you may have seen from the Operational Requirement which I sent to Judy Ching, we are arranging, for security reasons, for the system to have a removable hard disk which can be locked up overnight in the UK team's strongroom. It is likely that during the course of the programme a number of these disks will be used. When the operation is concluded, any disks containing data relating to the scheme will be returned to the Home Office in the UK.
