In
Geographical departments are now considering, with ECD (E) and Legal Advisers, how this interpretation affects the judicial arrangements in our Dependent Territories. particular we are looking at whether we should ask the Dependent Territories to legislate to allow their courts references to the ECJ, and to give direct effect to the appropriate parts of Community law. In formulating our approach we will be helped by the discussion of this matter to be held at the Conference of Attorneys General of the Caribbean Dependent Territories and Bermuda (Anguilla, 20-21 February).
