cause for doubt, checks with professional bodies will not be necessary. At the extension stage it will no longer be necessary for the employer to provide copies of examination results.
(4) We will allow switches in training within a profession, eg from mechanical to electrical engineering, if the new qualification is equally or more useful and it does not extend the training period too much. Changes of training employer during the period already allowed will be dealt with solely by OLS rather than OLS and the Home Office.
(5) For work experience the fact that an overseas national has had no previous employment is no longer the sole reason for refusal. However the proposed work experience should be relevant to their background, any qualifications they have and to their intended career
abroad.
