I thought it might be quicker for me at this stage to reply direct to your FAX received yesterday morning, with answers to outstanding points as discussed.
1.
Programme looks fine as it stands. Lady Howe would like to accompany Sir Geoffrey on everything excent the following:
Thursday, 26th:
Jones Day meetings and lunch. She will rejoin Sir Geoffrey at the Mandarin for departure for helicopter tour.
Friday, 27th: During the morning Lady Howe would like to remain at GH to do her own paperwork, if that were acceptable to Lady Wilson, and also perhaps use the time for shopping? She will rejoin Sir Geoffrey at GH for departure for lunch and afternoon engagements, excluding, of course, Sir Geoffrey's meeting with Sir David scheduled for 1630.
Saturday, 28th Sunday, 29th: Lady Howe will accompany throughout.
Monday, 30th:
Lady Howe will accompany throughout,
except during meeting between Sir Geoffrey and Zhou Nan. Lady Howe has mentioned that since she has met Zhou Nan's wife on several previous occasions, it might be a nice gesture to invite her to a separate tea at the same time. This is simply a suggestion, and would be entirely dependent on Sir David and Lady Wilson's advice. Lady Howe is easy either way.
