DEPARTURE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE VISIT OF THE PRIME MINISTER TO MOSCOW, CHINA AND HONG KONG: 1-6 SEPTEMBER 1991

1 TRAVEL DETAILS
The Prime Minister and Mrs Major and those listed at Appendix I will depart London Airport (Royal Suite) in a British Airways Tri-star at 0925 hours on Sunday 1 September. (The gates to the Royal Suite will open at 0730 hours.)
2 BOXES AND BRIEFCASES
Two FCO security vans and one security officer have been reserved for the journey to the Royal Suite. The vans will depart from the FCO at 0600 hours on 1 September with the safehand boxes etc, and from No 10 Downing Street at 0615 hours. A Duty Clerk will travel in one van and the security officer in the other. Official items and personal baggage may be left in Room K1, King Charles Street, up to 2330 hours on Saturday 31 August.
3 LUGGAGE
Heavy luggage should be left unlocked for the inspection by British Airways Security.
4 TRANSPORT TO LONDON HEATHROW
A schedule of arrangements is shown at Appendix II.
5 RETURN TO LHR (ROYAL SUITE)
Details of the return to LHR (Royal Suite) on Friday
6 September are at Appendix III.
