ii) In Peking, a direct telephone private wire is being provided between the No10 Private Office in Room 1810 in the Diaoyuti Guest House and the No10 switchboard in London. There will also be an extension in the No10 Private Office in the Guest House from the Embassy switchboard. Additional IDD telephones will be provided in the No10 Private Office and the FCO Private Office.

iii) In Hong Kong, five telephones with IDD facilities will be available in the Private Office in Government House.

iv) A list of useful telephone numbers is shown at Appendix VI.

SECURITY

London office security passes should not be taken abroad.

b) Mr Stacey will be appointed Special Courier for the round trip. All boxes and briefcases containing classified material should be entered on the Courier's waybill. Those concerned should contact Mr J Murray, ISD (S) (tel no: 270 2781) who will arrange for this to be done.

c) Miss McGinty will act as Special Courier for the FCO party.

a) Two suites of safehand boxes will be taken out in the official aircraft.

The Private Offices will be guarded at night by the Royal Military Police.

f) A safehand service will operate between the respective Communications Centres and the Private Offices at regular intervals during the day, and at night if required.

TRANSPORT

a) Transport will be provided by the host Government and the Mission concerned.

b) Transport for safehand runs will be provided by each post.

c) The allocations of cars on arrival in all posts will be telegraphed to the party in advance of their arrival.

a) Full details of all transport arrangements in each country will be available with the local administrative notes.
