PRIME MINISTER TO VISIT CHINA AND HONG KONG
At the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Peng,
Peng, the
Prime Minister, The Rt Hon John Major MP, will visit China from 2-4 September 1991. During his visit the Prime Minister and Premier Li Peng will formally sign the Memorandum of Understanding between the Governments of the United Kingdom and China relating to the new airport in Hong Kong. The Prime Minister will go on to visit Hong Kong from 4-5 September before returning to Britain.
