A
PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO HONG KONG: 4-5 SEPTEMBER 1991
PROGRAMME
Prime Minister's Programme
1.
Iinal verion -
I submit a self-explanatory PS letter to PS/No 10 about the Prime Minister's programme. This is based on advice
from Hong Kong. It incorporates Mr Cluff's Conservative
Party function which the Prime Minister has agreed to
attend.
Secretary of State's Programme
2. Hong Kong have asked whether the Secretary of State would like any separate programme. I propose to tell them
that we shall consult him on his return to the office but
that I doubt that he will want any formal separate items: they should plan on the assumption that he will accompany the Prime Minister throughout, though he may in practice opt out of some of the familiarization-type visits.
