Further to our letter B1/3 dated 16 October 1991, we wish to confirm the following information regarding the visit to Hong Kong by Their Majesties King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV and Queen Halaevalu Mata'aho of Tonga, which you requested by telephone:-

Accommodation for Their Majesties and the accompanying party has been arranged at the Regent Hotel.
The Security Officer normally carries a weapon but on this Royal Visit he will not be carrying any weapon. Nevertheless he has been duly informed of the requirements of the Hong Kong Police authorities.
with regard to your letter of 21st October, we will inform you as soon as we receive the response from Tonga on the lunch invitation from His Excellency The Governor of Hong Kong.
