I enclose the third draft of our tour proposals which includes your recommendations from your 'phone call.. As a result, we have made the following amendments:
a. Africa Deleted Zaire, but retained Zimbabwe and Mozambique. The Commandant feels that if we are unable to go to Zimbabwe because of CHOGM, it is essential that Mozambique be included as a Front-line and East African state.
b. Far East China has been deleted as you suggested. We have added South Korea and will progress the possibility of Vietnam direct with the Ambassador, keeping you informed. Should we not be able to visit Vietnam, the South East Asia Department have suggested Laos and I have included it as a reserve.
c. Mediterranean I note your comments about Yugoslavia. If we cannot visit, what are the chances of our being allowed into Albania? We need to visit one Bloc country in the southern tier and Albania /would be our first reserve..
