Visit of the Secretary of State to Hong Kong:
2-3 and 8-9 April: Programme
The Secretary of State was grateful for your submission of 18 March about the programme for his visit. He has had the following thoughts:
-
Dinner on the first day: we should aim for a broader cross-section of Hong Kong life and include spouses.
The Secretary of State will meet ExCo the next morning. They should not also dominate the dinner.
On the first afternoon, the Secretary of State would prefer to stretch his legs, rather than take a helicopter trip.
- On the afternoon of 9 April, the Secretary of State will
want an hour, likewise, to stretch his legs.
Grateful if you would take the programme forward on this
basis.
Care frentric.
