while on his way to Wenzhou, Zhejiang province. Released and
placed under house arrest in Shanghai on 19 August 1991.

Bishop of Harbin, 73 years old. Imprisoned from 1954 to 1964
and again from 1966 to 1985. Re-arrested on 14 December 1989
and released to house arrest in his village in Qiqihar in
March 1990.
