In his telno 899 the Governor e questions whether a full scale visit to Hong Kong in September, on the back of a visit to China, is sensible. Lord Caithness is very keen to visit China in September. He agrees that a full scale visit to Hong Kong may not be necessary. But he would like 1/2 days, probably on the way out, to touch base with the usual
contacts.
