Notes
(a)
All occupied offices should have if possible, natural light.
(b) Design layout should ensure that public can only gain access to main offices via controlled air locks.
(c) Provide, if possible, separate staff entrances/Exits which do not entail transmitting public waiting areas.
(d)
Various computer systems exist. But new unix System planned for early 1992.
Trunking and ducting for power and data cables will be required from the computer room to all occupied offices, together with ample power sockets and clean power supply. Power and data cabling to be kept separate. Provision to be made for all desks to have computer equipment.

( Designs and plans will need to be cleared at various stages with Security Department, ISD, TSD, PUSD and post. All clearances should be handled through PPU.
(D) This Sor should not be used after December 1991 without clearance from PPU/DED. The Sor should NOT be altered to take account of changes in staff or facilities without formal clearance with the Planning Officer involved.
