I have the honour to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated 6 August concerning the establishment of arrangements between Hong Kong and Gibraltar for the provision of mutual assistance in the restraint and confiscation of the proceeds of drug trafficking.
In reply, I have the honour to confirm that Gibraltar is willing to designate Hong Kong under the Gibraltar Drug Trafficking Offences Ordinance 1988 thereby affording Hong Kong access to the powers created by that Ordinance for the enforcement of external orders and restraint of property in connection with proceedings outside Gibraltar.
I have the further honour to confirm that your letter and this reply will constitute an arrangement between our two Governments in this matter.
