LEGISLATIVE PROGRAMME 1992/93
1. The Cabinet Office have asked for proposals for legislation in 1992/93 Session.

I would be grateful if bids by Departments for Bills in each of the classes, Essential, Programme, Contingent, and Uncontroversial, set out in the form at Annex B, together with any bids for Private Member Handout Bills in the form at Annex C, prepared in consultation with their departmental Legal Adviser, could be sent to Legal Executive Section (Room K200B) as soon as possible, but in any event not later than thursday 12 December 1991. Nil returns are required. The bids should include the name and telephone number of the official who will be responsible for the Bill. Notes for guidance on the completion of the forms are at Annex A, and a copy of the letter of 3 December 1991 from the Cabinet Office requesting bids and indicating the future time-table is at Annex D. Departments should ensure that any bids are divided into the appropriate categories A and B.

This year the time-table is very tight and it is essential that the deadline referred to in paragraph 2 is met.
