You will know from my letter of 3 December that we have now begun. to plan for the 1992/93 legislative programme.
Most Departments have now submitted their Ministers' bids for legislation in the first Session of a new Parliament, and I am expecting the outstanding bids shortly. As in previous years, the Legislation Secretariat will want to talk to officials about their bids, in all but the most straightforward cases, and I have therefore drawn up a provisional programme for meetings, as shown on the attached programme. I would be grateful if you could pass a copy of this onto the relevant officials. I will be in touch with them direct in the New Year to finalise arrangements.

of all Ministers responsible for Departments, and to First Parliamentary Counsel and First Scottish Parliamentary Counsel.
