The Project has already obtained the invaluable and very substantial collection of papers of the late Sir Cecil Clementi (Governor, 1925-30). The private papers of Sir Robert Black, Sir Donald Luddington, Brigadier David MacDougall, Mr. John Griffiths, Mr Geoffrey Hamilton, Mr. N.G. Rolph, Mr. Paul Tsui, and Mr. B.V. Williams have also been secured.

Since 1987 fifty individuals have contributed to the oral history programme, and were interviewed either in the United Kingdom or in Hong Kong. They are:
