CLASHES WITH THE POLICE
April-Fifth then decided to form a human front again to break through the police blockade again as the police had no real intention to let them pass at all. They moved to the barricades. Both sides pushed the barricades. Some domonstrators reported being hit by the police. The police suddenly moved away the barricades. April-Fifth people immediately sat down on the spot to demonstrate to the police that they had no intention to have physical clash with the police. Police went into the sat-down crowd and took away some of the April-Fifth demonstrators by force. Some were handcuffed and dragged inside a building nearby. The arrested were kicked and hit by the police violently in front of the public.

beat me. They dragged me inside а building nearby. My spectacles was not with me anymore. I was handcuffed by one of the police. He then used his fists to beat me. He told me to sit on a chair around the corner which I did. Later, that police said to me, "How can you
sit SO comfortably ? Stand up and squat. When I stood up, he gave me a kick again so that I was cuddling on the floor. policemen came over. One of them stepped his foot on my head. The others use sticks to beat my neck and back and kicked the two sides of my body. I could hear one of them said," Don't beat his head." And they did not beat my head. After the beatings, they asked me to lay on the floor. I want to point out 2 things. First, the police guarding me asked come you are so hurt?" My left eye was swollen. I know in your heart."
