Hong Kong people s support for the Beijing students in 1989 as demonstrated in 1000000 people demonstrations, territority- wide donations greatly disturbed the Chinese authorities. Mr. Li Hou, deputy director of the Chinese State Council's HOng Kong and Macau Affiars Office said, "HK has stirred up things most formidably.
