The above prisoner is presently serving a life sentence
in Stanley Prison.

He was convicted of 'Murder' and was sentenced to Death on 16.11.1979. He applied on 19.11.1979 for leave to appeal against the conviction and also applied for legal aid.
His appeal was heard with legal aid and dismissed on 23.6.1980. He then applied for legal aid on 24.6.1980 to appeal to the Privy Council, which was refused on 18.7.1980. Subsequently, he petitioned the Governor for clemency and his Death sentence was commuted to Life Imprisonment on 5.4.1981.

After the commutation of his Death Sentence, he has been assigned to work in the Garment making Workshop and his work performance is good.

During his period of imprisonment, he has incurred three reports for breach of prison discipline and was awarded a total of 37 days forfeiture of privileges and 10 days separate confinement. Since his last disciplinary report in January 1982, he has managed to behave himself and conform well to the discipline. His overall institutional behaviour is satisfactory.

He receives regular visits from his family members and corresponds with them occasionally.
