On 26 February 1991, Mr. J. K. Hague has written us about the petition from 350 British Nationals, vide copy of his letter attached. On 3 May 1991, we have suggested a draft reply to him as copy enclosed. Since Mr. Hague's letter implies that he will process the appeal and а draft reply has already been prepared, would you still want us to return the petition to the sender? I have not forwarded the petition to you again with this letter because it is baulky and I believe Mr. Hague's file has copy of it already.
The other petition from 17453 nationals has already been returned to the sender with a request that they should follow the Diplomatic Service Procedure and Colonial Regulations (169-170).
