Sir,
I have the honour to refer to the International Convention for Safe Containers done at Geneva on 2 December 1972, and to state, with reference to the terms of the reservation made by the Government of the United Kingdom on 8 March 1978 at the time of the deposit of their Instrument of Ratification, that it has been decided that the Convetnion shall apply to Bermuda.
The Convention will enter into force for Bermuda on 27 March 1987 in accordance with the terms of the above mentioned reservation.
I request that you inform all Contracting States of the content of this communication.
