Port of Registry Hong Kong

With reference to your telefax of 23 July 1991 I confirm that the flags flown by the above vessel are in accordance with the Hong Kong Merchant Shipping (Registration) Ordinance. I enclose for

J your reference the relevant provisions of the Ordinance (1.e. 8.37 and Schedule 1) on the proper

proper colours

colours of a Hong Kong registered ship.

Please be informed that since the 3rd December 1990 Hong Kong has established its own shipping register under the abovementioned Ordinance and ships on the Hong Kong register must fly the proper colours as specified in the Ordinance. Furthermore, with effect from the same date Part I of the Merchant Shipping Act 1894 has been repealed by the Ordinance and

and therefore i9

is no longer applicable to a ship registered in Hong Kong.

I hope the above explanation satisfies your enquiry.

Regards

Almeida

Registrar of Ships.
