BASEL CONVENTION
1.
TRANSBOUNDARY MOVEMENT OF TOXIC WASTE
Thank you for your minute of 17 September. I am available to attend a meeting next week and look forward to your suggested dates.
2. There are a number of issues at the moment which concern all the DTS and which have ecological dimension. These would include:-
Transboundary movement of toxic waste
Country reports/UNCED
cooperative (wHAMD)
Preparations for oil slicks/clean Caribbean cooperative
3. You and your colleagues may have other suggestions. I wonder whether it would be worth having a short meeting on these issues in one session, which might effectively be a meeting of the Dependent Territories Liaison Group. It would be an opportunity to make progress in several areas. I would be grateful for yours and copy addressees views.
