Following the

trend development in trade between

China and Hong Kong last year, both imports and exports

grow in the course of this year. According to

ministry's statistics, as at 31 July, the value of

Chinese exports to Hong Kong amounted to US$12.05 bn, which

represented an increase of 26.8% over the corresponding

period of the previous

From Januarý to May, the

value of Chinese imports from Hong Kong was US$8.18 bn, the

increase over the corresponding period of the previous year

amounted to 28%.
