Report on the Fourth Sponsorsed Visit to China
I have the pleasure to submit for your reference a copy of the report on the sponsored visit to China which took place from 21 to 31 August this year.
The visit has attained its stated objective of enabling the Hong Kong delegation to gain a better understanding of how the Chinese system of government operates. Through an exchange of views, we have established a basis for future contacts.
The attached report is a collection of separate contributions from individual members of the delegation. Together, it provides an overall picture of the visit from different angles. Interestingly, the observations of individual members, though different, find a common chord in many respects. I hope you enjoy reading the report, which I am also copying tɔ the following addressees for their interest and retention.
