The drivers are allowed a maximum of four-day stay in
Hong Kong on each trip. They are not allowed to engage
in any work in Hong Kong apart from that involved in
the cross-border haulage trade.
The drivers should obtain a passport endorsed for
"travel on official business", a visa for Hong Kong
indicating that they are in the employ of a specified
company, and the necessary closed road permit.
For attending the Hong Kong driving test and
familiarisation courses, the drivers should obtain a
Hong Kong visa.
