Dear Paul,
Following our telephone conversation this morning I enclose copies of the eighteen Joint Liaison Group communiques.
I thought it prudent to check the regulations concerning articles written by former members of the service. As I
suspected, the regulations require that Library and Records Department inspect the draft text of such articles before they are published. News Department also like to see a copy in case they get asked any questions after publication.
As your proposed article will be essentially factual, I trust that these formalities will cause you no difficulty. I should of course be happy to make the necessary arrangements if you would like to send me a draft in due course.
