Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order extends the Official Secrets Act 1989 to Hong Kong with exceptions, adaptations and modifications specified in the Schedule to this Order to form part of the law of Hong Kong. The exceptions,
adaptations and modifications are required in order to reflect that Hong Kong is a colony which has laws of its own, its own
administration and permanent residents.
