(1) The Governor in Council shall not give the Corporation a

direction under section 39 unless and until he has given the

Corporation

(a) notice in writing stating that the Governor in

Council has under consideration the giving of such a

direction and the grounds upon which and any other

reason why the giving of such a direction is being

considered; and

the opportunity of making representations or

objections concerning the direction under

consideration.

(2) The notice referred to in subsection (1)(a) shall, in

addition to stating the matters required by that subsection, state

that representations and objections relating to the proposed

direction may be made to the Governor in Council (either orally or

in writing or both) during such period (being a period of not less

than 28 days beginning on the date of receipt by the Corporation of

the notice) as shall be specified in the notice.

41.

Broadcasting Authority may require broadcast

(1) The Broadcasting Authority may, where it considers it to

be in the public interest that any announcement should be made, by

notice in writing, direct the Corporation to broadcast such

announcement.

(2) The Broadcasting Authority shall not give the Corporation

a direction under subsection (1) unless and until it has given the
