On my return to Hong Kong, I just wished to thank you for receiving me so kindly when Ι called on you with Michael Checkland and Robin Derwent last week- especially as I know how heavy your schedule is at present.
My father and I believe strongly that the widest possible dissemination of BBC news on television in Asia is in the strong interest of both Britain and Hong Kong. For any support you feel able to give us, we shall be most grateful; and we shall of course, as you recommended, be following up vigorously at this end.
