I will consider with Mr Cornish whether there is

anything more we can do to encourage a somewhat more balanced reflection in the UK media of Hong Kong opinion on

these issues. It is probably a lost cause. But the discrepancy means that the UK public and parliamentary

reaction to Martin Lee and his activities tends to be based

on an incomplete picture of how these are being received in

Hong Kong.
