5. At a time when the press and public in Hong Kong are aware of the pressure on the British and Hong Kong governments to make urgent decisions I think an interview with RTHK could be helpful in avoiding the worst sort of speculation and calming a lot of nerves at a crucial moment.
6. I understand there is a great deal of pressure on the Secretary of State's diary next week but I am sure that Ms Blyth would be happy for a few minutes any time from midday, Wednesday 26 June (ie after the meeting with the Governor) to Friday.
