Dear Mr. Blye,

Thank you for your letter of 13 December 1990 to Lord Caithness about HMOCS pensions and SPOS arrangements.

Lord Caithness appreciates the concerns of HMOCS pensioners about fluctuating exchange rates. He has also taken careful note of your comments about the SPOS arrangements.

These matters are the subject of discussions between the relevant Departments of the British and Hong Kong Governments. At present, however, we have nothing to add to our earlier statements on these matters.
