A 1973 reduced site.
study proposed an Initial List of 30, subsequently to 13 and then to 6. CLK was selected as the best
1982-3 a master plan for CLK was developed and a Deep Bay site reviewed and again rejected.
The PADS studies in 1988/89 reviewed the CLK master plan and the Alternative Replacement Airport 'Study (ARAS) reviewed sites in the Western Harbour. These studies again confirmed CLK as the best site:
