TAIWAN

Taiwan, Hong Kong's fourth largest trade partner worldwide, remained one of the fastest growing markets for the territory in the Asia-Pacific region, owing to continu- ing strong demand for high-quality con- sumer goods. Hong Kong's total exports to Taiwan expanded by 29% in 1990 over the previous year to HK$27 billion.
