Thank you for your letter of 29 August about the franchises your subsidiary, Hong Kong Telecommunications, has in Hong Kong.
I was not able to discuss this with the Governor
when I was in Hong Kong, but Malcolm Caithness did as on his last trip at the end of July following his visit to your operations at Stanley. I agree this is an important matter and I shall take a close interest in developments.
