SYNOPSIS OF CONCLUSIONS

The reduction in Army Supporting Arms

Army Supporting Arms and Services will in general take place in 3 phases: following the withdrawal of the first Gurkha battalion; following the withdrawal of

Pay staff integral to the withdrawing battalion.

The majority of the DASU Border Detachment.

The Gurkha Children's School from the vacated barracks.

A medical centre, Gurkha Families Hospital and its staff

from the vacated barracks.

Withdrawal of the Second Battalion. The withdrawal of the second

battalion should allow greater reductions in Army supporting Arms and

Services. In general terms the following reductions should be

possible:
