115. The PR Plan. At present it is too early to consider drafting a formal PR plan. However, before the withdrawal of the second battalion the outline PR framework must have been agreed and any

intermediate developments related to it. (Paragraph 63).

116. The RHKR(V). The uncertainty of the APF expansion plan indicates that it would be wise to retain the Regiment for as long as possible

during the final run-down period. (Paragraph 81).

117. Command and Control. Following the withdrawal of the second Gurkha battalion and accompanying elements of combat support and combat service support, command of all units should be vested in a single star headquarters. (Paragraph 83).

118. RN Clearance Diving Team. The Clearance Diving Team operate the only decompression chamber in Hong Kong, based at HMS TAMAR. HKG intends to accept responsibility for this facility by the time the RN is relocated to Stopcutters Island in 1992. Additionally, the Team is also responsible for EOD and IED clearance below the high water mark until sufficient RHKP teams have been trained to undertake the

task. The Clearance Diving Team should remain unaltered until 1993 when it is hoped both these tasks will have been handed over to the

HKG.
