UK DEFENCE EXPORTS TO OUT - OF - AREA COUNTRIES 1990

Out-of-Area (00A) countries are major
are major purchasers of UK defence equipment and related services. With the COSSPL in mind, the following statistics are given. In 1990 contracts worth £1.7 billion (US$3.1 billion) were signed with sixty-two OOA countries, representing over 65% of all UK overseas orders.

Ten countries accounted for over 90% of OOA exports. Details of these countries are given in the following table. The total figure represents over half the total UK exports. Figures for the remaining 52 countries in which sales were achieved in 1990 are available from the DESO.
