Dear David,
FAXES
29
Foreign & Commonwealth
Office
YOUR VISIT TO LONDON: 20-21 APRIL 1991
London SW1 2AH
MAS 227/4
ED
8++ 213 B
1. Pamela Major has already faxed to you the provisional programme for your forthcoming visit. I hope that it is generally satisfactory.
2. As you will see, our proposed lunch has not materialised! The reason for this was not any lack of interest on my part, but rather the overriding need to ensure that Sir Arthur Watts was accommodated. Under the circumstances, I naturally did the decent thing!
3.
One consequence of this is that the time allocated to me on the programme is rather compressed. If you felt you needed longer, I would be only too happy to make more time available.
Yours ever, Alaw
