I have much pleasure in enclosing an invitation to the launch of BBC World Service Television throughout Asia on STAR TV, on Monday 14 October 1991 at 11.45 The event will be televised and shown live on STAR TV across Asia. BBC News will also be showing extracts.

I do hope you will be able to join us for what promises to be an exciting occasion. Since HRH The Princess Royal has kindly agreed to inaugurate our new service I must ask you to arrive promptly. Coffee will be available from 11.30 a.m. on the first floor of the BAFTA Centre after which you will be invited to watch the half hour presentation in The Princess Anne Theatre. Drinks and a buffet lunch will be served from just after 1 p.m.
